The Steven Z. Miller 16th Annual Pediatric Emergency Medicine Health Fair, sponsored by the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, serves more than 600 Kindergarten through 5th grade children from public schools in the Washington Heights and Inwood neighborhoods of Manhattan.
Children attend with their classes and tour more than 20 booths on healthy living, nutrition, exercise and injury prevention. Among other exciting educational opportunities, children learn about bicycle safety, tour a real ambulance, learn how and when to call
9-1-1 and learn internet safety. All children receive a t-shirt and snack and, this year, they will have an opportunity to enter a raffle for a children’s bicycle and bike helmet.
