In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the 11th Annual Steve Olsen Run for Rogosin will be held VIRTUALLY. We invite everyone to join us for a VIRTUAL 5K run/walk between Friday, August 7th – Sunday, August 16th celebrating The Rogosin Institute’s healthcare heroes for the incredible care and support that they have continued to provide for our patients and their families throughout this difficult time.
During the event dates, participants will be able to complete the 5K in any location they choose and on the day of their choice. Participants can run, jog, or walk around their neighborhood, on their favorite trail, or even on the treadmill. We may not be able to come together in-person this year but we can certainly celebrate together virtually!
The event was founded by Steve Olsen, owner of the West Bank Cafe in the heart of New York City's theater district. Steve is a kidney transplant recipient and a former Rogosin patient. His and his friends' personal commitment to our cause have always made this an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind event. The Steve Olsen Run for Rogosin has become an excellent vehicle for informing people about prevention and risk factors for kidney disease and increasing awareness for organ donation. Funds raised through this event will help Rogosin pursue critical research, treatment, and prevention efforts for thousands of people with kidney disease and the millions at risk for it due to diabetes and hypertension.
