It is intended that this NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Continuing Medical Education activity will lead to improved patient care. At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Apply current evidence, clinical guidelines, emerging technologies, and recent trial data to inform decision-making across the cardiac surgical continuum.
  • Integrate advanced strategies for patient selection, risk assessment, perioperative management, and postoperative care, including cardiac MRI, aortic aneurysm intervention, atrial fibrillation, ECMO, rehabilitation, pain management, artificial intelligence, and care transitions.
  • Implement evidence-based, multidisciplinary practices that enhance collaboration, standardize care, reduce variation, and improve the quality, safety, and effectiveness of cardiac surgical care.
