NewYork-Presbyterian

Medical Yoga Therapy with Lisa Tatham, RYT-500 and Michelle Loy, MD

Medical yoga is defined as the use of yoga practices for the prevention and potential treatment of medical conditions. Come join us for a class where you will be empowered to learn the physical and emotional benefits yoga can offer to improve musculoskeletal ailments, cardiovascular system, blood glucose levels, mental energy, focus, positive feelings, while simultaneously decreasing anxiety, depression, stress, and anger.

Reclaim the freedom to move your body and to breathe vitally. Understand the power you hold within yourself to release stress and rediscover choice. Through community find a place of understanding and recognition. Through these practices, regain the opportunity to become active in your healing process. In this safe and personalized environment, allow yoga to stimulate the immune system, improve flexibility, regain strength, reduce anxiety, manage pain, and boost overall well-being
