The HypnoBirthing® course was developed by Marie Mongan in order to help parents-to-be minimize fear around birthing, recognize birth as a natural process, and achieve more comfortable births.

In this course led by Jillian Cohen, MD, ABOIM, HBCE, you'll learn several relaxation and self-hypnosis (guided imagery) techniques in order to help reduce fear & tension. The course will cover various topics including:

  • Positioning, visualization, breathing & deepening techniques shown to achieve more comfortable and shorter labors;
  • The history of birthing and the natural process of birth
  • Creating an optimal birth plan for you and your partner
  • Bonding with your baby and the vital role your birth companion plays
  •  Aspects of "4th Trimester" care

Required Orientation: Thursday, October 6th from  7-8pm 

Course dates: 5 Thursday evenings: 7-9:30pm 10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10

Fee: Self-pay $400 or can be billed to insurance as 6 physician visits.
