Health Seminar: Medical Marijuana and Integrative Health

Did you know that medical marijuana can be used to treat Parkinson’s Disease, severe muscle spasm, neuropathy, chronic pain, and severe nausea? These are just a few conditions where medical marijuana can be used effectively. What is integrative medicine? Why is it becoming more popular? What conditions are treated? How are those conditions treated? How does medical marijuana fit into integrative health? These are just some of the questions that Dr. Parikh will
discuss as she tells us about the Integrative Health and Wellbeing Program at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and the services provided there.
Dr. Parikh graduated from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and
completed her internal medicine residency at New York-Presbyterian/WCMC, where she is an assistant professor and co-founder of the Integrative Health
program at NYP/WCMC. Dr. Parikh is a board-certified Internist and Diplomate
of the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine .
