The prenatal and perinatal period are precious and exciting seasons of life, accompanied by significant physical and emotional transitions, and present a unique opportunity to optimize one’s health and to give your baby the very best start. During this session, evidence-based dietary patterns for optimal maternal and fetal health will be discussed. You will also learn about the role of acupuncture, vitamin/supplements/herbs for gestation and infant neurodevelopment, perinatal yoga for stress reduction, mind body techniques for optimal gestation, birth weight, labor and delivery, and non-pharmacological, holistic alternatives to common pregnancy discomforts. Postnatal nutrition for mother and child will also be introduced.
