We invite you to join us for a program featuring a NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health expert who will discuss bipolar disorder, a serious but treatable mental illness that frequently presents in early adulthood. Bipolar disorder is commonly portrayed in books, film, and television, and discussed on social media, but public understanding of the illness is limited and often marked by misconceptions and stigma.

  • Alex Kane, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine and the Unit Chief of the General Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Unit at NewYork Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Kane maintains a private practice in which he works with many young adults with bipolar disorder.
