Aphasia Support Group Meeting

Aphasia is a communication disorder that often results from damage to the brain – usually caused by stroke. It can affect the ability to speak and understand, read and write. Led by an NYP Lawrence speech therapist, these free meetings are for anyone who has the condition. The gatherings offer information on how to improve communication, language games, and a place to make friends in a supportive environment. Though registration is not required, it is recommended to call the day before to ensure the class will take place. For more information call Dahna Stadtmauer at 914-787-3373.
