If you’ve been living with aphasia for years or recently diagnosed with the disorder, you are invited to attend our Aphasia Support Group. Aphasia is a language disorder that affects how you communicate. It can be caused by a stroke or other neurological damage – but doesn’t affect your intelligence.

 

Our weekly support group, led by a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist, strives to bring people facing similar difficulties in a positive, relaxed environment, aimed at foster better communication through fun, education, and practice.

 

Meetings are on Wednesdays from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in the Hospital’s Cancer Center Conference Room. Pre-registered is required by calling 914-787-3373.
