Cancers of the genitourinary tract represent some of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in the United States. In 2023, over 440,000 patients will be diagnosed with urothelial, kidney, or prostate cancer representing a significant burden of disease in this country. (Siegel 2022)

Management of genitourinary cancers can be complex, and may require coordination of multidisciplinary specialty teams. Patients with these cancers commonly require expertise from urologic oncologists, genitourinary medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, or radiologists. Treatments vary from observation only to surgery and radiation, to systemic therapy with chemotherapy or targeted agents. Furthermore, with constant clinical advancements across each of these subspecialties, there are frequently emerging treatments and updates in the standard of care.

This full-day event will consist of didactic and panel-based talks about important topics in the management of genitourinary cancers. We will provide information about the latest advances in cancer diagnosis and treatment and model team-based approaches to patient management. This event is geared towards physicians who manage these diseases, as well as allied healthcare professionals.

At the conclusion of the program, participants will be better able to:

• Discuss the role of surgery, radiation, focal therapy, and surveillance for men with organ-confined prostate cancer

• Explain the role, sequencing, and effectiveness of novel systemic therapies for genitourinary cancers

• Discuss indications and techniques for organ preservation for patients with aggressive, invasive genitourinary cancers
