In these classes you’ll learn about patterns we all hold because of muscles that have become chronically tight.  These patterns can cause your daily movements to be harder to do as well as causing you pain in your body and even affecting your balance.  Together we will explore Hanna Somatic Exercises you can do to come out of pain and regain ease and joy in your movements. You’ll discover a way of using your brain to reset your muscles along with breathing practices that will help you to maintain a relaxed way of being in yourself.

You may join us for a single class or multiple classes.  Each class has been created to address  either a common complaint like soreness in your neck and shoulders or pain in your low back. You will be provided with a written copy of the exercises we do together to assist you in continuing your practice.  Links to video and audio guides will also be provided for your convenience.

The movements we explore are often done lying on the floor and can also be done from a chair.  All you need is yourself.  Hanna Somatic Education is a safe, gentle and an intuitive approach to learn to relax tight and painful muscles. It does this by targeting muscles that we've forgotten how to relax.

The series is being co-presented by Bianca Lee, board certified in neuromusculoskeletal medicine (NMM) and Lisa Tatham who is a certified Hanna Somatic Educator.

A series of classes to learn techniques that you can do to come out of pain, release stress and regain your freedom to move comfortably.
