22nd Annual Frontiers in Diabetes Research Conference: Obesity, Diabetes and COVID-19: Elucidating Bidirectional Links

This virtual half-day program is designed for research scientists, clinicians, and students with an interest in diabetes and obesity.

Specifically, this conference will focus on recent clinical and basic insights regarding SARS-CoV2 infection. Particular emphasis will be placed on the interactions – and potential metabolic/genetic mechanistic links – relating to susceptibility and clinical outcomes in patients with obesity and pre-existing diabetes. Additional areas of focus will include novel treatment paradigms for diabetes in the COVID-19 era, and a look forward towards novel antiviral therapies.
