In these classes, you’ll learn about patterns we all hold because of muscles that have become chronically tight. These patterns can make your daily movements more difficult, cause you pain in your body, and even affect your balance. Together, we will explore Hanna Somatic Exercises you can do to get out of pain and regain ease and joy in your movements.

These movements are often done lying on the floor and can also be done from a chair. All you need is yourself. Hanna Somatic Education is a safe, gentle, and intuitive approach to relaxing tight and painful muscles.

You may join us for a single class or multiple classes. Some experience in Hannah Somatic Education is preferred but not mandatory. Please explore the introductory course if you are new to the practice.

What works for one person does not work for someone else--that's because we have different metabolisms. Instead of focusing on calories, different diets, or exercise routines, it is more important to know what your metabolism is doing. Based on that, you can pick the foods that work best for you.

During this 4-week journey led by Dr. Chiti Parikh, all participants will wear a continuous glucose monitor to gain better insight into their metabolism. Each week will have specific instructions on using that information while optimizing your diet, sleep, exercise, and stress management routine.

This session is a good fit for anyone looking to optimize their weight or address prediabetes or early diabetes.

Pre-requisite:

A visit with our clinical team will be scheduled where baseline lab tests, body composition and resting metabolic rate testing will be conducted. This will help you understand how your metabolism is functioning right now and we will be able to track progress over time.

We will also review different glucose monitors and apps that will suit your unique needs. Over the counter glucose monitors cost $89 for 1 month supply if your insurance does not cover them.

This session provides a comprehensive overview of the assessment and treatment of adolescents and young adults within a specialized inpatient and partial hospital setting. Dr. Bem Atim will introduce the unique clinical needs of young adults and how they are addressed in our treatment environment. Dr. Sean Kerrigan will outline the scope, philosophy and structure of the Eating Disorders program, highlighting distinctive features such as levels of care, innovative and integrative interventions, management of comorbidity, and clear distinctions between medical, inpatient psychiatric and Partial Hospital Program (PHP) settings, as well as pathways for continuity of care. Dr. Paul McCormick will ground these concepts through illustrative adult and adolescent case presentations. Dr. Melissa Klein will describe an individually tailored behavioral inpatient model that integrates cognitive, experiential and values-based interventions. Tracy Stahl will conclude by exploring mind-body approaches to healing, including art, music and embodied therapeutic practices. Together, the presentations emphasize a cohesive, patient-centered continuum of care designed to support complex psychiatric and behavioral needs.

During this 4-week journey led by Dr. Chiti Parikh, all participants will wear a continuous glucose monitor to gain better insight into their metabolism. Each week will have specific instructions on using that information while optimizing your diet, sleep, exercise, and stress management routine.

This session is a good fit for anyone looking to optimize their weight or address prediabetes or early diabetes.

Pre-requisite:

A visit with our clinical team will be scheduled where baseline lab tests, body composition and resting metabolic rate testing will be conducted. This will help you understand how your metabolism is functioning right now and we will be able to track progress over time.

In these classes, you’ll learn about patterns we all hold because of muscles that have become chronically tight. These patterns can make your daily movements more difficult, cause you pain in your body, and even affect your balance. Together, we will explore Hanna Somatic Exercises you can do to get out of pain and regain ease and joy in your movements.

These movements are often done lying on the floor and can also be done from a chair. All you need is yourself. Hanna Somatic Education is a safe, gentle, and intuitive approach to relaxing tight and painful muscles.

You may join us for a single class or multiple classes. Some experience in Hannah Somatic Education is preferred but not mandatory. Please explore the introductory course if you are new to the practice.

The Fifth Annual Medical, Interventional, Surgical IBD Symposium will bring together leading experts in gastroenterology, surgery, and interventional medicine to explore the latest advancements in the management and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). This one-day, CME-accredited event will focus on medical therapies, diagnostic challenges, IBD mimics, complications, and surgical interventions. The program will feature lectures from renowned specialists, followed by a case discussion session to provide practical insights into complex clinical scenarios. Target Audience: Gynecologists who are incorporating robotics into their surgical practice

Upon conclusion of the activity, participants will be better able to:

Describe safe & efficient operating room setup, trocar placement, and docking.Review and evaluate surgical techniques and principles to enhance the performance of complex gynecologic procedures that address the gamut of pathology.Cite ways to avoid and manage complications through innovative technologies such as advanced energy use and improved ureteral identification.Integrate complementary technologies to facilitate robot-assisted gynecologic surgery.

Statement of Need

Perinatal detection of congenital anomalies leads to the identification of infants who are affected by life-limiting conditions with a short life expectancy. Perinatal palliative care offers a plan for improving quality of life of the infant and the family, when extending the baby’s life is no longer the goal of care. The evidence base for perinatal palliative care continues to grow. However, there is no consensus about best clinical practice in managing pregnancy and delivery of women who elect to continue their pregnancies, and promoting support for the family and comfort for the neonate. Pregnancy and delivery management, and support for the family are achieved through appropriate obstetric care, pre- and postnatal consults, shared decision-making, and advance care planning. A state of comfort for the neonate is achieved when relational basic needs such as bonding, maintenance of body temperature, relief of hunger/thirst, and alleviation of pain/discomfort are met.

To address this growing need to support families or the comfort of the neonate, an interdisciplinary team developed a 3-day intensive training, which will include information about the successful experiences of the Neonatal Comfort Care Program in providing perinatal palliative care for over a decade at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

Moreover, the course faculty will discuss evidence-based rationale, practical aspects and strategies to provide support for families and achieve a state of comfort for newborns with life-limiting conditions.

Educational Objectives

Upon conclusion of this activity, participants will be better able to:

Become familiar with the essential elements of perinatal palliative consult.Adequately perform perinatal palliative consult.Identify families’ needs and apply strategies to successfully achieve support when they have a newborn with a life-limiting condition.Identify newborns’ basic needs and apply strategies to successfully achieve a state of comfort for newborns with life-limiting conditions.Adequately manage pregnancy and delivery of women with fetal diagnosis of life-limiting condition who elect to continue their pregnancies.
